Location – holiday cottage Šafran, completed in 2010 is located on the border of the National Park Low Tatras in the picturesque village Liptovksý Ján – spa, on the sunlit meadow, 150 meters behind the Avena Ralax Hotel (GPS- 49 1 52,27 S, 19 40 34,56 V). There is a nice view from the meadow on the Low, Western Tatras and on Sivé vrchy. In the immediate vicinity there is coverd natural thermal swimming pool Máj, thermal crater Kaďa with mineral spring Teplica and ski resort Javorica. On both sides of the Jánska valley (175 km long) you can observe wide range of natural carst formation. The most important of these are available Stanišovská cave, Starý Hrad gap, dive Hlbokô of brook Štiavnica and rock windows in Ohnište. The surroundings is a paradise for mountain tourists, who can go on Ďumbier by peaks of Smrekovica on Slemä, Ohnište and on Rovná Hoľa, another by Jánska valley or across Poludnica, Kraková Hoľa and Prašivá. There is the beautiful view of Jánska valley and of the High Tatras. For less powerful tourists we recommend a trip to Hrádok to Stanišovské saddleback of walk by a historical interesting Liptovský Ján with 20 architectonical monuments.
